From 1752 to 1776m Georgia was administered by the British Crown that the British Secretary of State. A royal governor was selected by the Crown, and a royal charter was crafted that was intended to be a model of colonial administration. The royal charter allowed the governor to pass laws, create courts, and engage in other administration.
